Russian jewelers rediscover platinum the 20th of September, Moscow

New campaing in order to promote platinum jewellery in Russian was launched on the 20th of September during Moscow International Jewellery Exhibition "Jeweller 2001". This is the main objective of a group of leading Russian jewellery companies, brought together by new organization - "THE JEWELLERY PLATINUM UNION".

THE UNION produced first ever catalogue of Russian platinum jewellery collection and a consumer information leaflet for retailers to use to explain the qualities of platinum jewellery to consumers.

The future plans of the Union include technical help and professional advice for the manufacturers, a dedicated website and distribution of publicity materials for jewelery stores to use in window and counter displays.

Platinum jewellery is becoming more and more popular worldwide and at the moment half of the world's platinum consumption is being used in jewellery industry.

Using the theme "Discover Platinum" Jewellery Platinum Union plans to encourage consumer interest to platinum jewellery in Russia as well as to increase its export to international markets.

This campaign is drawing on the marketing experience of such leading international experts in this field as "Johnson Matthey" and Platinum Guild International.
