Moti Ganz Elected Re-elected Chairman of IDI
Moti Ganz was re-elected unanimously yesterday for an additional three-year term as Chairman of the Israel Diamond Institute Group of Companies (IDI), by its Board of Directors. Moti Ganz also serves as President of the Israel Diamond Manufacturers Association (IsDMA) and the International Diamond Manufacturers Association (IDMA).
After being re-elected Moti Ganz said, “I am grateful to the Board of Directors for this vote of confidence, and promise to continue to act for the betterment of the diamond industry.” During his term as IDI Chairman, and especially since the beginning of the international economic crisis, Ganz has worked tirelessly on behalf of the industry, working with government authorities and the banks in Israel in order to find a solution to the credit crunch. On an international level, Ganz made great efforts to bring about a global generic marketing campaign for diamonds, which is now being put into place with the establishment of the International Diamond Board.
Avi Paz, President of the Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE) and the World Federation of Diamond Bourses (WFDB), praised Ganz for a fruitful and meaningful term as IDI Chairman. He said, “ I am convinced that the successful cooperation that currently exists amongst all of the institutions of the Israeli Diamond Industry will continue during Moti Ganz’ second term, and I look forward to working together to promote the industry.”
Israel Diamond Controller Shmuel Mordechai also praised Ganz and wished him great success in his second term as IDI Chairman.
Moti Ganz is the owner of MOTIGANZ DIAMOND GROUP, one of the leading diamond exporters in Israel today. A second-generation diamantaire, Ganz has been active in public life in the diamond industry since 1989. He has been President of IsDMA since February 2004 and President of IDMA since May 2008.
