In January – September 2007 the mining companies of Chita region produced 5318 kg of gold – 99.7% as compared with the level of 2006.

According to the press service of Natural Resources Committee of the region, 85% of the precious metal were prospected at alluvial deposits. Experts express an opinion that by the end of 2007 up to 6600 — 6700 kg will be mined.
