The smallest golden Orthodox calendar was created in Russia
Russian jeweler Vladimir Mikhailov has created the smallest calendar of Orthodox fests. The calendar is made of gold, its sizes being 25*27*10 mm. It has the form of the Gospel placed on the corporal in the Church.
All the elements of the calendar are made of gold. The tiny book contains seven pages, and it has a special pedestal – a miniature copy of a lectern. Every page has an icon engraved and a cite from a prayer. The book weighs 123.73 g.
It took four months to create such a masterpiece. It is expected that the calendar will be enlisted in the World Guinness Book.
