As it has been reported by the press service of ALROSA Company, on the June 20, 2007, the XXII International Rough Diamond Auction (Special Sizes) organized by ALROSA together with the Diamond Chamber of Russia was closed.

165 lots were sold for the total of $45.2 mln. The lots were available for preview on the floor of the Diamond Chamber of Russia during a month.

Rough diamonds recovered by ALROSA Co. Ltd. (132 lots) were auctioned together with the diamond production of OJSC ALROSA-Nyurba (34 lots). 1246 diamonds altogether weighting more than 21 thousand carats were offered for sale, including 16 diamonds, each of over 50 carats. The largest of auctioned diamonds weighted 135, 46 carats.

Over 60 Russian and foreign companies from Israel, Belgium, India, UAE, USA, Lebanon specialized in operations with large-size goods and having high business reputation, participated in the auction as bidders.

The next auction will begin its work in late June 2007.
