In the first quarter of 2007 the volume of gold production in Russia decreased by 6% down to 22 tons 385.8 kg – as compared with the same period last year. Gold mining reduced by 6.8% - down to 18 tons 43.1 kg. This information was provided by the Union of Gold Manufacturers of Russia.
