On March 23, 2007, XXI International Rough Diamond Auction organized by ALROSA together with the Diamond Chamber of Russia was closed. 54 Russian and foreign-based companies from Israel, Belgium, India, China, USA, Lebanon specialized in operations with large-size rough and polished diamonds and having high business reputation participated in the auction as bidders.

For three weeks the lots had been available for preview on the floor of the Diamond Chamber of Russia.

85 lots (529 diamonds) with an aggregate weight of about 9 thousand carats were auctioned, including seven diamonds, each weighing over 50 carats. The largest of the auctioned diamonds weighed 115.59 carats.

83 lots were sold for the total of USD 18 million. The next auction will begin its work in late April-early May 2007.
