The Ministry of Finance of Belarus published the information about Belarus activity on the context of Kimberley Process Certification Scheme.

In 4Q 2006 raw diamonds (in compliance with International Goods Code System 7102.31,) import amounted to 22156.59 cts totally $6614361.99 worth. Besides, 2576.88 cts $29634.12 worth were transported to the country for processing according to the code 7102.21.

Natural diamonds have not been exported from Belarus.

In 4Q 2006, raw diamonds consignments came to Belarus with ten Kimberley process certificates:

from Russia - RU 0002619 (29.09.2006), RU 0002620 (02.11.2006), RU 0002951 and RU 0002952 (07.11.2006), RU 0002953 (20.11.2006), RU 0002954 (29.11.2006), RU 0002955 and RU 0002956 (08.12.2006),

from Belgium – EC 00150240 (15.12.2006),

from Guinea – GN 010089.

Natural diamonds mining does not take place in Belarus.
