The Ministry of Finance has summed up the results of PGM export in 2006. According to the statement of the Ministry, Russia exported last year 100 tons of PGM and 35 mln cts of diamonds.

In cost the volume of Russian diamond export amounted to $1.7 bln, PGM - $1.5 bln. In 2006 the only Russian company - MMC Norilsk Nickel, the world largest producer of nickel and palladium, – exported PGM from the country. The largest Russian diamonds producer is ALROSA Company – its share in eth global market is estimated at 25%. All the PGM were exported to the European Union, and then transported to the USA and Japan. Russian diamonds are imported by the EU, Israel, the UAE and nine more countries.
