PRIME-TASS reports that this year the GOKHRAN of Russia plans to increase diamonds and precious metals purchases from Russian manufacturers by approximately 7.5% -up to $429 mln.

In 2006 GOKHRAN bought diamonds over $300 mln worth and precious metals about $100 worth. Diamonds are traditionally bought from ALROSA. The purchase was conducted in two phases during the year.
