The President of Russia Vladimir Putin has signed the Decree On the Improvement of the State Regulation in the Field of Precious Metals and Gemstones Export and Import. The decree provides the abolishment of quotas for the export of the following materials: natural diamonds (except for unique gemstones and those with the shapes “bort” and “drilling”), refined PGM in bullions, stripes and grains, precious metals nuggets, raw precious metals. Now the export activity in the field of precious metals and gemstones will be conducted on the basis of licenses issued by the Ministry of Trade and Economic Development.
