Ukraine: the Cabinet of Ministries launched licensing of precious metals, gemstones and amber export in 2007
In Ukraine the Cabinet of Ministries launched licensing of precious metals, gemstones and amber export in 2007. This statement was approved on December 29, 2006.
For 2007 the following export quotas were established: amber - 10 thou kg, precious metals ore - 105 mln kg, diamonds (raw and polished - unset) - 8 thou cts, raw and polished, but unset gemstones (except for diamonds) - 900 kg, silver (except for banking metals) - 1 thou kg, gold (except for banking metals) - 80 kg, platinum (except for banking metals) - 200 kg.
According to Ukrainski Novini, export licenses are issued by the Ministry of Finance.
