As it ha sbeen reported by Press-Line, USGS has published the results of its research on PGM production and resources in Russia. In 2005 Russia produced 97.4 tons of palladium and 30 tons of platinum. 100% of palladium and 23.4 tons of platinum were produced in Krasnoyarsk krai. The total production volume accounts for MMC Norilsk Nickel.

USGS has estimated PGM resources in Taymyr region as well. They include 1930 tons of palladium, 497 tons of platinum and 112 tons of other PGM.
