Russia decreased gold production by 1.3%
In January – October 2006 gold production in Russia reduced by 1.87 tons (1.3 %) as compared with the same period last year. This information was provided by the Union of Gold Manufacturers of Russia. In October gold manufacturing grew up by 1.35 tons (7.4%).
Gold mining reduced by 2382 kg (1.8%) down to 128803 kg, the volume of accompanying gold production increased by 706.9 kg (7.8%) up to 9790.7 kg, secondary production decreased by 198 kg (5%) down to 3763.7 kg.
Gold mining volumes this year is growing in Krasnoyarsk krai (+12.8%), Sakha Republic – Yakutia (+5.9%), Sverdlovsk region (+15.1%) and Kamchatka region. Decrease is observed in Magadan region (-21.8%), Khabarovsk krai (-10.9%), Irkutsk region (-3.8%), Amursk region (-2.6%), Buryatia Republic (-8%) and some others.
Ore gold mining increased in January – October 2006 by 6 tons, alluvial – reduced by 8 tons.
