In January – November gold mining in Irkutsk region reduced by 4.3%
According to PRIME-TASS, Irkutsk gold mining companies decreased their production in January – November 2006 by 4.3% - down to 14273 kg. By December 4, 2006, ore gold mining had amounted to 3363 kg (increase by 1.5 times), alluvial gold mining – to 10910 kg (by 13.9% less).
In 2005 Irkutsk gold mining companies prospected 15.2 tons of gold. The quota for the region in 2006 amounts to 19177 kg. It is planned to produce 4.53 tons of ore gold and 14827 kg of alluvial gold in Irkutsk region.
