In January – October 2006 Krasnoyarsk krai miners increased gold mining up to 47.057 tons - by 14% as compared with the same period last year. This information was provided by the Agency for Natural Resources of Krasnoyarsk krai.

Experts say that the increase took place due to ore gold mining growth (by 16%). Alluvial gold mining decreased by 20%.

It is expected that in 2006 the amount of chemically pure gold will total to 31 950 kg – by one ton more than in 2005.
