In November 2006 OJSC Smolensk Kristall put up for tender a unique diamond weighing 33.64 ct. It is the most expensive gemstone in the history of the company – its cost is estimated at $ 1 300 000. The diamond is of white colour, its cut – emerald – got «excellent» status. It took over two weeks to cut this diamond. The origin crystal weighed 68.28 ct and was found in the Sakha Republic. Kristall Company bought this gemstone at XIII International Auction ALROSA.
