According to ITAR-TASS, 13236 kg of gold were mined in January – October 2006 in Amursk region. If compared with the results of the same period 2005, the volume of gold mined in the region fell down by 180 kg.

Experts have predicted the decrease of gold mining as alluvial deposits are becoming exhausted.
