MMC Norilsk Nickel warns against forged promissory notes

Forged promissory notes of RAO Norilsk Nickel emerged on the market, with RAO Norilsk Nickel registered as the maker located at Tverskoy Boulevard 13, Moscow. The promissory notes are dated September, 2005 and the person referred to as the payee is Denisov Yury Grigoryevich. The guarantor is OJSC Investsberbank. Officers’ signatures and seals of RAO Norilsk Nickel and OJSC Investsberbank are fake.

As reported, two such forged promissory notes were recently presented by the payee to OJSC Investsberbank (Moscow) for payment. There is good reason to believe that similar forged promissory notes will be presented for payment in other Russian cities.

MMC Norilsk Nickel and RAO Norilsk Nickel hereby deny any involvement with the aforementioned promissory notes and bear no obligations under such promissory notes.
