According to ITAR-TASS, in January-September 2006 the volume of gold and platinum mined in Sverdlovsk region grew up by 10.9% and amounted to 4.6 tons. The same period last year this result was 4.1 tons. Separately the volume of platinum mined is 0.2 tons, gold – 4.4 tons.
