Gold production in Russian in January – July 2006 increased by 1.2% and reached 78345.5 kg in comparison with the same period last year. This information was provided by the Union of Gold Manufacturers. Gold mining, however, reduced by 0.1% down to 68889.7 kg. In July 2006 gold mining decreased by 0.5 tons as compared with July 2005.

Alluvial gold prospecting reduced by 13% - by 5 tons compensated, however, by ore gold mining.
