According to the data provided to Russian Jewellery Network by Russian Assay Office, in 1H06 the amount of golden jewellery pieces tested and assayed by the Office totalled to 16.378 mln (total weight 42.8 tons), including those imported – 0.572 mln totally weighing 2.25 tons. Statistics on silver jewellery is as follows: 11.782 mln pcs, including those imported – 2.791 mln pcs, total weight – 20.392 tons.

As for platinum jewellery, in January – June 2006, the Assay Office tested and assayed 9.92 thou pcs (60.548 kg). Palladium jewellery figures: 3.50 thou pcs (14.363 kg).
