IN 1H 2006 Kumtor Gold Company, which explores Kyrgyz largest gold ore deposit Kumtor, mined 5.861 tons of gold, a sit has been reported by News.kkb.kz with references to the company’s press service.

The production volume of the company reduced as compared with the same period 2005. Experts associate this reduction with decrease of gold amount in the ore. However, the mining reduction was partially compensated by the increase of gold prices.
