In 2006 the gold mining companies working in Chita region took the quotas for 8200 kg of gold. The largest quota was allocated to Darasunskiy Pit Company – the subsidiary of Russdragmet representing the interests of Highland Gold Mining Ltd in Russia. This year Darasunskiy Pit Company plans to get 1824 kg of gold.

In 2005 Chita companies had quotas for 7600 kg of gold, and the total mining volume last year amounted to 6 tons.
