According to the Department of Natural Resources of Magadan region, by June 1, 2006, the gold mining companies of the region prospected 3600 kg of ore and alluvial gold. It is considerably less as compared to the same period last year – 4960 kg.

As for silver mining, by June 1, 2006, 259 tons of the precious metal has been mined – the same period last year result – 290 tons.
