as it has been reported by RIA Novosti, archaeologists have found about 60 ancient coins in the Volkhov River, near Novgorod. The coins found were originally from Novgorod, Tver and Pskov and were made of copper and silver.

The oldest coins date from XV century, the latest one was coined in 1825.
