According to RIA Vostok-Media, precious metals mining is decreasing in Khabarovsk region. Such an announcement was made by the head of the regional mining department Nikolai Ischuk.

According to Mr Ischuk, in 2004 precious metals mining fell down by 13%, and this year the decrease will amount to 10% more. The main problem is the exhausted condition of the deposits.
