According to ITAR-TASS, 1419 kg of gold were mined in Amursk region in January-March 2006 – 192 kg more than the same period last year.

In the course of the recent five ears the region is increasing its gold mining, mainly by means of ore deposits development as alluvial gold resources are becoming exhausted.
