On March 18, 2006, the Auction House Gelos organised a numismatic auction. Almost 400 lots were put up for tenders during the event.

Many items were sold for prices that exceeded the estimate. For example, a rare silver rouble coined in 1704 was sold for $22000 – the price nearly tripled! Among the most expensive items there were the following lots: a silver rouble of 1807 ($20000), a golden medal devoted to the Paul I coronation ($26000), a copeck of 1762 ($13000) and others.
