In February Vinnitsy Kristall Diamonds Cutting Plant reduced its diamonds production by 17.97% or by 2.744 mln grivnas as compared to February 2005. However, in comparison with January 2006 the production increased by 226.2%.

In 2005 Vinnitsy Kristall Plant decreased its production by 34.25% or by 65.253 mln grivnas down to 125.267 mln grivnas.

Vinnitsy Kristall Plant was founded in 1972, it cuts up to 2 mln gemstones a year. Raw diamonds are bought from Belgium, Israel and Russia. Besides diamonds cutting the plant produces jewellery that is famous not only in Ukraine but in Kazakhstan, Moldova and Russia. 80% of production is exported to Belgium, Russia, the USA and Japan.
