As it has been reported by ARKA Agency, the Parliament of Armenia approved the law On Precious Metals.

The law provides the legislation basis of precious metals and jewellery turnover. The Central Bank of Armenia will control the operations with banking gold and bullions. Only licensed companies will be allowed to refine precious metals, produce gold bullions, assay jewellery. Jewellery that is of historic and archaeological value, coins, orders, medals, arms and jewellery under 1.5 grams are not liable to assaying.
