From June 23 to 29, 2006, VII Golden Ring of Russia Jewellery Fest will take place in Kostroma. The programme of the Fest traditionally includes business, sport and cultural events: jewellery exhibition, mini-football and volleyball matches, tennis etc.

Last year 82 jewellery companies participated in the jewellery exhibition and about 50 of them are from Kosroma. The exhibition's sectors included jewellery made of gold, platinum and silver, gemstones, bijouterie, watches and clocks, minerals, packages, equipment etc. Up to 30% of Russian jewellery are produced in Kostroma region.
