This year GOKHRAN plans to organise its first diamond auction as early as May. Now the organisation is expecting a decree of the Government that would make the procedure of the gemstones selling easier, and the decree is expected in a month.

Last year GOKHRAN organised three auctions. The firs auction took place on June 1, 2005, and diamonds about $4.5 mln worth were sold during the tenders – 480 lots of 486 were sold. The results of the second auction were 413 of 438 lots and $30.150 mln. Last auction brought $20 mln – 245 lots were sold out of 301.
