According to the Ministry of Economic Development of Armenia, in 2005 diamond production in eth country reduced by 1.4% to $249 mln. Diamonds sales decreased by 1.1% to $244 mln, export – by 1.7% to $240 mln. This reduction is associated with problems of raw diamonds supplies. Armenia’s diamonds cutting plants buy annually about 800 thou cts including 180 cts bought in Russia.
