In 2006 Russia’s gold mining will decrease down to 166 tons

According to the forecasts by Union of Gold Manufacturers, in 2006 Russia’s gold mining will decrease by 1.21% down to 166 tons including 150 tons of ore gold.
Last year gold mining in Russia amounted to 168.032 tons of gold – 3.5% decrease as compared to 2004 figures, ore gold prospecting fell down by 4.3% down to 152.026 tons.
In 2005 gold export from Russia decreased by 13.29% to 150 tons as compared to 2004, silver export remained the same - 1500 tons. Platinum export in 2005 amounted to 16 tons, palladium - 127 tons.
