On January 26, 2006, JSC ALROSA held a diamond auction in the context of IJT 2006 – International Jewellery Tokyo. As it has been reported by ALROSA press service, the auction lots included 63 diamonds weighing 0.3 - 22 cts, the total starting price of the lots being $1.6 mln. 23 international companies participated in the auction. As a result, ALROSA sold diamonds $580 thou worth.

The auction was organised together with Tokyo Diamond Bourse.

Last year JSC ALROSA organised its first diamond auction at International Jewellery Tokyo and sold 11 diamonds with total weight 49.36 cts for totally about $410 thou. The largest gemstone weighted 18.93 cts.
