Gornoe delo publishes that Russian diamonds mining company ALROSA did not manage to come to an agreement with Indian Sterlite Industries Limited on Ararat Gold Mining Company (AGRC) purchase. ALROSA’s experts came to Yerevan with that purpose and made a number of negotiations. However, the price that ALROSA wants to pay is too small, according to Sterlite Industries Limited, the owner of AGRC.

In the recent several years Sterlite Industries has invested over $40 mln into AGRC. In 2004 the Armenian company mined 2.1 tons of equivalent gold – by 0.25 tons more than in 2003.
