The results of diamond and gold complex of 2005 were estimated in Yakutia.

As it has been reported by YASIA, diamonds mining in the region increased by 7.5%. Diamonds $234.7 mln worth were produced last year in the region, with plan being $218 mln. It is by 1.1% more than in 2004, diamonds export abroad – to Israel, Belgium, OAE and the USA – grew as well – by 17%.

As for gold mining, in 2002 - 2005 alluvial gold prospecting has become quite stable, and the share of ore gold mining increased from 36% up to 51%.
