proUA publishes that the Cabinet of Ukraine has introduced the licensing of precious metals, gemstones and amber export in 2006. Such an order came into force on January 1, 2006.

The Cabinet has established the following export quotas for 2006: amber – 10 thou kg, precious metals ore – 105 mln kg, unset diamonds – 8 thou cts, other unset gemstones – 900 kg, silver – 1 thou kg, gold – 80 kg, platinum – 200 kg.
