The Ministry of Finance has prepared a project of amendments into the law that abolish the State monopoly for PGM export.

Currently all the export of PGM is being conducted by State Company Almazyuvelirexport. The Ministry of Finance and the Government plan to consider the project of the new law in the nearest future.

Now in Russia three companies produce platinum group metals – Norilsk Nickel, Koryakgeolfobycha and Amur mining team. If the law is approved Norilsk Nickel will have the right to export PGM itself.
