The Russia's gold and currency reserves equalled to $182.3 bn. as of January 6, 2006
The External and Public Relations Department of the Bank of Russia announces that the Russia's gold and currency reserves at the end of the year 2005 equalled to $182.2 bn., with monetary gold calculated at current quotations by the Bank of Russia. Calculated at the fixed value of monetary gold as $300 per troy ounce as applied for previous periods the Russia's gold and currency reserves would equal to $179.6 bn. for the same date.
