The administration of Irkutsk region intends to seek the start the exploitation of Sukhoi Log gold deposit as soon as possible. In this connection the authorities of the region will address the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Russian Federation.

The representatives of the Ministry say that the deposit will be put up for tenders as soon as the new bill On Natural Resources is approved. PRIME-TASS reports that the State Duma of Russia has postponed the bill, which was worked out in September – October 2005.
