In 2005 Assay Office of Russia forecasts the increase in gold and silver consumption in jewellery: gold – by 20.5% up to 82.5 tons, silver – by 13.3% up to 138 tons. This information was given by PRIME-TASS with references to the head of Russian State Assay Office, Vladimir Mospan.

Golden jewellery production in Russia will increase up to 31-32 mln pcs that is by 18-20% more than in 2004. Silver jewellery production will remain the same – about 17 mln pcs.
