The 11th international auction was organized in conjunction with the Diamond Chamber of Russia and began its work on 17th October, 2005. Participants were some 37 Russian and foreign companies from Israel, Belgium, India, Switzerland, China, USA, Belarus. All of them have high reputation in the diamond business and specialized in large-size goods.

During the following four weeks the lots were available for preview on the Diamond Chamber premises.

On sale there were altogether 138 boxes (963 stones) with a total weight of 15.6 thousand carats, including 5 exceptionally large diamonds. Each of those five diamonds was over 50 carats and not included in the category of ‘unique diamonds’ by a special panel of experts under the RF Finance Ministry. The largest of them weighed 110.86 carats.

The results were announced on 24th November, 2005. 127 boxes were sold, bringing ALROSA over $ 28 million.

The next international auction is scheduled for the first months of 2006.
