The board of Belarus National Bank approved the plan of memorial coins issuing in 2006. This information was provided by the press service of the Bank.

In particular, in 2006 the series Belarus cities will be enlarged with the coin devoted to Gomel. The fifth coin of the series “Religious traditions of Belarus” will tell about Whitsun. Bicycle sport will have its own coin as well.

New series named “Slavis family traditions” will be launched in 2006. Many other coins made of precious metals and devoted to Belarus historical and cultural events and famous people will be available in 2006 in the branches of the National Bank.
