Meeting devoted to the development of Russian gold mining in Russia took place in Magadan. The meeting was headed by the President of Russia Vladimir Putin.

According to RIA Novosti, the agenda of the meeting included the questions of the sector’s development.

Russia is the fifth country in the world gold mining after South Africa, USA, Australia and Canada. Most Russian deposits are located in Siberia and Far East.
