According to RBC, Armenian diamonds cutting companies in January-September 2005 reduced diamonds production by 5.3% as compared to the same period last year – down to $183.578 mln. Diamonds sales decreased by 5.4% and amounted to $181.439 mln. During the period mentioned diamonds $174.152 mln worth were exported that is by 9% less than the same months 2004.

In 2004 Armenian diamonds cutting companies produced diamonds $220.267 mln worth – 20% decrease as compared to 2003 figures.
