According to IA REGNUM, the Governor of Kaliningrad region Georgiy Boos intends to remove the centre of amber trade from Poland and Lithuania to Kliningrad as 98% of amber resources are located in Kaliningrad region.

IA REGNUM has already informed that in 2005 Kaliningrad Amber Complex has mined 147 tons of raw amber. Average monthly amber mining volume this year amounts to 36 tons. Last year the same figure was 31 tons.
