In January-August 2005 Russian gold mining companies decreased their production by 2.3% or by 2570.6 kg down to 107987.4 kg as compared to the result of the same period last year. According to Kommersant, this reduction is associated with decrease of production of such big companies as Amur, Mnogovershinnoe, Polyus.
