According to the deputy Governor of Krasnoyarsk krai Andrey Gnezdilov, in 2005-2006 the volume of gold mining in the region will remain the largest in the country. As it has been published by the Union of Gold Manufacturers, in 2004 30.93 tons of gold were mined in Krasnoyarsk krai, in January-July 2005 the gold mining companies of the region mined 15.5 tons of gold that is by 1.9 tons less that the same period last year.
